The Women’s Resource Center in Bermuda hosted a gala in honor of “Purple Thursday”. Celebrated on the third Thursday of October, the color purple is worn in order to raise awareness and show support for victims of domestic violence. This year’s feature speaker was Tawana Tannock; she retold the horrifying story of Bermuda’s first documented domestic violence case.
“Family Affair” was the theme of this year’s Pride Parade, which was hosted by Pride Bermuda and took place in the City of Hamilton. As a proud ally and second year sponser of Bermuda’s Pride Week, I was excited to capture this event. I would personally describe this event as one of the happiest hosted in Bermuda; all are welcome. The parade itself is (roughly) an hour long walk around the City followed by a party in Victoria Park.
Meet Lauren, Founder of PadsPass & Aliza, the Chief Customer Experience Officer at PadsPass! These two ladies organized a Puppy Parade to raise awareness about their pet travel app and to have a little bit of fun on a Sunday afternoon! The contestants mustered in the Victualing Yard at the Royal Naval Dockyard and marched on all fours; some sporting unique outfits. Carefully judged by award-winning artist, Ghram Foster, the “king” and “queen” of the canine realm were crowned (and awarded some sweet treats)!
In celebreation of the last day of Pride Week, “Bermuda Pride” & “Out Bermuda” hosted a Drag Queen Brunch at The Loren Resort in Smiths Parish. The sold out event featured two of Bermuda’s top performers: Ms. Sybil Barrington (aka: de Queen of Bermuda) - and Marcus Tizzebra Smith (aka: Marcus Zebra)! During one heartfelt performance, Marcus was also joined by his mom; marching to the music and twirling a baton.
There’s nowhere better to spend your New Year’s Eve than at The Loren at Pink Beach! As The Loren pulled out “all the stunts” for this one ~ so did we! Their package included event coverage, a live photo booth, and our “regular” photo booth - that captures still images and GIFs.
“Fresh fish for sale!” are the sweetest words spoken in Bermuda. Cap’t Jim West of Early Bird Charters in Bermuda selling his day's catch to local chef for a dinner organized by Das Fete.
What an awesome group to photograph! The good folks of World Travel Inc. came down to Bermuda on a company holiday trip. Some of the employees had been going on vacation together for over 30 years! How cool is that?!
Jim and I had a great time working the Nephila Holiday Party again! This time, Jim was rockin’ our photo booth and I was photographing the festivities! Happy Holiday's all!

There’s a very contagious bug going around Bermuda and it’s called the “America’s Cup”! Jim and I made our way to our friends' house on the western end of the island to check out the races. As soon as I saw the AC45Fs flying through the water, I was hooked! Jim and I rooted for Oracle Team USA, who won their race against Emirates Team New Zealand! After watching the races at a friends' house, we made our way to the America's Cup Village - where we thoroughly enjoyed Jean Wyclef's show and the Opening Ceremony! For the past few years, Bermuda has made many changes to pave the way for the 35th America's Cup! The sailors have lived in and around our community and with Opening Day finally arriving, it was very exciting to see them in action!
It’s not everyday you learn about calculating risk from America’s Cup Skipper & Helmsman, Jimmy Spithill while simultaneously capturing the event. Thanks ILS Bermuda for having me take part in the convergence!
