Event: King Charles III visit to Bermuda, 2026

I had the privilege of photographing several events for the Department of Communications in Bermuda during King Charles III’s historic visit to Bermuda, capturing moments from his three-day stay from April 30 to May 2, 2026. Described as “history in the making,” the visit marked the first time a reigning British king had visited Bermuda. As a photojournalist, I was honored to capture a selection of moments from this significant Royal Visit, including official ceremonies, community gatherings, and interactions with people across the island.

One highlight was King Charles III’s visit to City Hall in Hamilton, where enthusiastic crowds of students from local schools welcomed him. He also met Michael Frith, creator of Fraggle Rock and director of The Jim Henson Company, and his wife, Kathryn Mullen. Other memorable events included the Investiture Ceremony, where King Charles presented awards, followed by a Cedar Tree planting at Government House. The day continued with a beautiful garden party, where he spoke fondly about his family’s longstanding connection to Bermuda. The final day of the visit included the opening of the new Coast Guard Station in St. David’s, another important moment in the island’s history.
