Gala: Women's Resource Center - Hamilton Princess Resort
The Women’s Resource Center in Bermuda hosted a gala in honor of “Purple Thursday”. Celebrated on the third Thursday of October, the color purple is worn in order to raise awareness and show support for victims of domestic violence. This year’s feature speaker was Tawana Tannock; she retold the horrifying story of Bermuda’s first documented domestic violence case.

Event: BDA Pride Parade - 2024
“Family Affair” was the theme of this year’s Pride Parade, which was hosted by Pride Bermuda and took place in the City of Hamilton. As a proud ally and second year sponser of Bermuda’s Pride Week, I was excited to capture this event. I would personally describe this event as one of the happiest hosted in Bermuda; all are welcome. The parade itself is (roughly) an hour long walk around the City followed by a party in Victoria Park.

Event: PadsPass' Puppy Parade - Royal Naval Dockyard
Meet Lauren, Founder of PadsPass & Aliza, the Chief Customer Experience Officer at PadsPass! These two ladies organized a Puppy Parade to raise awareness about their pet travel app and to have a little bit of fun on a Sunday afternoon! The contestants mustered in the Victualing Yard at the Royal Naval Dockyard and marched on all fours; some sporting unique outfits. Carefully judged by award-winning artist, Ghram Foster, the “king” and “queen” of the canine realm were crowned (and awarded some sweet treats)!

In celebreation of the last day of Pride Week, “Bermuda Pride” & “Out Bermuda” hosted a Drag Queen Brunch at The Loren Resort in Smiths Parish. The sold out event featured two of Bermuda’s top performers: Ms. Sybil Barrington (aka: de Queen of Bermuda) - and Marcus Tizzebra Smith (aka: Marcus Zebra)! During one heartfelt performance, Marcus was also joined by his mom; marching to the music and twirling a baton.

Event: Masterworks' Fundraising Gala - Fourways Restaurant & Inn
The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art hosted an unforgettable fundraising gala honoring its longtime champion, Tom Butterfield, at the iconic Fourways Restaurant & Inn. Set against the venue’s historic charm, the “Starry Night” theme transformed the space into a glowing tribute to creativity; a fitting reflection of Masterworks’ mission to celebrate Bermuda’s artistic heritage.
Friends, supporters, and community leaders gathered to recognize Butterfield’s lasting impact on the island’s arts community. Distinguished guests included Sir John Swan and the Hon. Wayne Caines. The highlight of the evening was the art auction, which showcased works by celebrated Bermudian artists Antoine Hunt, Jonah Jones, and Graham Foster; adding a meaningful and memorable highlight to the celebration.
